John Deere Land Plane: Versatile Solution for Landscaping, Site Preparation

John Deere Land Plane: Versatile Solution for Landscaping, Site Preparation

MOLINE, Ill. (March 7, 2006)—John Deere's new Worksite Pro™ Land Plane makes final landscape preparation with a skid steer easier than ever. This rugged attachment makes short work of ground that needs grading, leveling, ripping or sifting, according to Doug Laufenberg, product marketing manager, John Deere Construction & Forestry Company.

"The land plane is a simple mechanical attachment that can be used to complete the final grade on both flat and sloping ground. It's ideal for tight spaces close to buildings," Laufenberg said.

The land plane is capable of many applications and is available in three widths to fit various machines—72 inches (model LP72), 78 inches (model LP78) and 84 inches (model LP84). An optional hydraulic control is available for the scarifier. The speed of operation is not limited by hydraulics—the Worksite Pro land plane can grade as fast as the operator and skid steer are capable. And with a lower initial cost than hydraulic attachments, replaceable cutting edges and no hydraulics to wear out, this attachment delivers lower daily operating costs than competitive products.

"The land plane provides an excellent alternative for more costly attachments in many applications," Laufenberg said.
