Power Products Marks Safety Milestone
(June 13, 2008) – John Deere Power Products has surpassed 10 million employee work hours without a lost-time accident. The Greeneville, Tenn., factory hosted a special celebration on June 12 to mark the accomplishment.
Power Products' safety milestone represents the number of consecutive full-time and contingent employee hours worked without incurring an occupational injury or illness that resulted in days away from work. The safety record dates back to September 12, 2002.
"What's most important is that we've been able to send every employee home safely each and every day, while also keeping our costs down," said Darla Bowman, Safety Champion. "We would not have these results without employee involvement - they are very safety conscious."
