Along the edge of #17 is an out of play environmentally sensitive area with landing zone defined by a fescue slope right and a stone retaining wall on the left. Choices are to lay-up or thread tee shots to the right. The green is classic table top with false front and bunkers right, left, in approach with steep drops back and left. This rugged hole makes great use of New England landscape to provide a unique playing experience, inviting the heroic shot off the tee and abuses on approach.
