Breckenridge Golf Club #08 Breckenridge, Colorado

580 Yards Par 5
A narrow ribbon of fairway cuts through pine trees and wetlands that are sculpted by beavers. The ponds, trees and native grasses run along both sides of the fairway the entire distance of the hole. From the tee you will see more hazard than fairway – the fairway is only 35 yards wide. With a slight zigzag to the fairway, the golfer must hit very accurate first and second shots or risk losing two or three balls on this hole. The numerous beaver ponds that front the green make it extremely difficult to hit this green in two shots, or even three shots for that matter. If you bail right on your approach shot to the green to avoid the beaver ponds, the deep bunker will cause you some grief, as the bunker depth requires such a full swing to get the ball up, that many a shot goes too far and ends up right back in the ponds you were trying to avoid. Par on this hole is great, but expect to score higher.
