Not only is the view from the tee box the most dramatic view in the midwest but the illusion of the fairway 200 feet below is down right scary. Lee Trevino played here on opening day and was quoted as saying the hole was the most difficult he ever played. He was quoted in describing his play on the hole as follows...”Hit driver, then 3 wood, then another 3 wood, and then a 7 iron to the green”. True story! As you see in the photo check out how the trees (or lack of) affect the wind. Typically the wind blows (swirls) at 15-30 mph. Everyday the wind direction and velocity changes. Great for scoring!
