640 Yards Par 5
This is not your typical par 5. With 640 yards, getting home in two is almost impossible. From an elevated tee box it gives the golfer a feeling of confidence until the shot is played. Two large ponds run down the left side that narrows the fairway near the landing areas, collecting errant shots. For those that fear the water and bail out to the right find themselves in waist high "no mow" that runs down right side of the fairway and will be lucky to even get a club on it. Both the ponds and no mow continue to haunt the player that tries to advance their second shot as far as possible. An enormous green, guarded by punishing bunkers and the pond. Any ball rolling over the green will continue into the water. This hole sees several three putts due to size and slope. The few able to make par are a leg up on the field and everyone hopes the wind is still when they play 17.
