ALPHARETTA, Georgia (September 15, 2008)– John Deere Agri Services, Inc. and CHS Inc. (Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) have partnered on a development project involving Web-enabling the AGRIS™ V9 application through the use of XML messaging. With more than 300 of its Country Operations retail sites using the AGRIS V9 business system, CHS was looking to enhance the company's ability to manage information from multiple production data sets and more easily report on activities occurring across the enterprise.

Web-enabling the AGRIS V9 system with XML provides CHS the ability to integrate data from multiple sources to the company's corporate financial system on a near real-time basis. The data is compiled into a central Web-based repository for easy access to up-to-date information for customer inquiries and reporting on enterprise-wide activities. While providing more visibility to information to better manage the business, the system improvements do not require any changes to business processes or system usage procedures among the 300 plus CHS Country Operations retail sites that use the AGRIS V9 software.

In addition to moving forward with the XML messaging initiative, CHS commissioned AGRIS V9 system enhancements designed to improve the company's customer-facing documents such as accounts receivable statements, delivery sheets, and grain settlement documentation. Additional enhancements will streamline the grain contract valuation process.
