TRADEWINDS MAKES TRANSITION TO OEM

Company Will Continue to Sell John Deere-Powered Products

WATERLOO, IA (August 15, 2006) — Tradewinds Power Corporation of Miami, formerly a John Deere engine distributor responsible for Central America, South America and the Caribbean, has reached an agreement with John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) to make the transition from an export-only engine distributor to an OEM that will promote John Deere-powered products.

Tradewinds will concentrate on developing its proprietary line of generator sets and water pumps powered by John Deere engines and sold and serviced through its dealer network. The transition from distributor to OEM will give Tradewinds the ability to market its John Deere-powered products in North America and other markets they wish to pursue.

Tradewinds will provide warranty, parts and service support directly to their customers who own and operate John Deere-powered Tradewinds products. Given this, Tradewinds customers will be assured of continued support of their John Deere-powered Tradewinds generator sets and water pumps.

JDPS will continue to sell and distribute engines in Central America, South America and the Caribbean. Inquiries should be directed to jdpower@JohnDeere.com. JDPS can be contacted at (319) 292-6060 or toll-free in the United States at 1-800-JDENGINE (1-800-533-6446).
