John Deere Power Systems Showcases A New Era in Power at bauma 2025
SARAN, France (7 April 2025) — John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) is ushering in A New Era in Power at bauma 2025 in Munich, Germany. Located in Hall A4 at Booth 325, JDPS will showcase its comprehensive range of power solutions, emphasizing innovation, sustainability, and customer-focused design. As a representation of its future-forward approach, the JDPS booth will focus on its diverse portfolio of solutions and how they will empower customers to navigate the ever-evolving off-highway landscape. As customer needs change, JDPS is committed to providing the tailored power solutions they require to succeed in this new era.
"At bauma 2025, we'll be showcasing how John Deere is embracing A New Era in Power," said Nick Block, director of global marketing and sales at JDPS. "This means developing technologies that not only meet today's needs but also anticipate the challenges our industry will face in the years to come. We believe the future of power is not defined by a single solution but by a range of options that allow our customers to choose the best fit for their operations. We invite attendees to join us at our booth to learn about the technologies that will define the next era of off-highway power."
Advanced Engine Technologies
Visitors to the JDPS booth will experience firsthand the company's commitment to providing adaptable, reliable power solutions with its comprehensive engine lineup. This includes the Next Generation Engines — the JD4, JD14, and JD9 engine provides more power than the existing John Deere PSS 9.0L engine and offers streamlined integration, making it ideal for a wide range of construction applications. The optimized JD9 builds on the proven performance of the existing 9.0L engine to offer lower complexity and installation costs while maintaining the renowned John Deere quality and reliability. Whether it is with purpose-built engines for a range of construction needs or optimized versions of trusted models, JDPS is dedicated to providing its customers with reliable, powerful, and efficient solutions for the future of construction.
Expert Service and Support
JDPS offers customers comprehensive aftermarket solutions designed to keep their equipment running strong. At bauma, JDPS will showcase its robust service network, which includes more than 9,000 service locations worldwide with skilled engine experts ready to assist. Attendees can learn about John Deere Lifecycle Service Solution, a complete service package that includes engine maintenance plans, PowerGard™ Protection Plan, and John Deere Connected Support™. These solutions provide customers with the tools and support they need to proactively manage maintenance and optimize the performance of their John Deere engines.
JDPS will also showcase its tiered parts portfolio using a color-coded 4.5L engine display. Genuine John Deere parts, represented in black, deliver John Deere quality and reliability for your critical applications. Remanufactured parts, shown in grey, provide a balance of performance and cost-effectiveness. Alternative parts, displayed in white, offer economical solutions for both John Deere and other equipment brands. With options for a variety of budgets, this tiered approach ensures that customers have access to the parts they need to keep their equipment operating at peak efficiency.
Battery and Charging Solutions
JDPS and KREISEL Electric (KREISEL) are developing battery and charging solutions designed to bring battery-powered equipment to key off-highway markets like construction, mining, and material handling. At bauma, attendees can explore the latest advancements in battery technology, including the KBE.59.750M battery pack — targeted for production in 2026. The KBE.59.750M, and all KREISEL batteries, feature Dynamic Performance Management, which utilizes patented cell immersion cooling technology and advanced software systems. This technology is engineered to optimize daily performance, life performance, and performance at extreme temperatures all while meeting or exceeding industry safety standards.
Designed prioritizing energy density, runtime, and seamless integration with off-highway machinery, KREISEL batteries feature a flexible, modular architecture. The result is high-performance, high-durability batteries that will allow John Deere to provide all-electric vehicles and powertrains to off-highway equipment customers across equipment segments and applications. The serial production KBP63 battery pack will also be on display at bauma in the outdoor Wirtgen booth (FS.1011).
John Deere recognizes that building a robust charging ecosystem is crucial to the adoption of battery-powered construction equipment. To effectively support the transition to electric-powered off-highway machinery, John Deere is committed to providing charging solutions that are as versatile and adaptable as the jobsites they serve. This means developing both stationary and mobile charging options with varying power outputs and charge times that can be scaled. With KREISEL, JDPS is pursuing charging solutions to serve off-road electric construction vehicles where typical grid infrastructure is not available or not sufficient.
In the Wirtgen booth, JDPS will showcase a concept mobile charging solution powered by KREISEL battery technology. This concept demonstrates the company's focus on developing flexible charging options that can be easily deployed wherever they are needed. In addition to the mobile concept unit, the serial production CHIMERO stationary charger from KREISEL will also be on display at the Wirtgen booth. The CHIMERO offers high-powered DC fast charging for locations where lower grid connections are available. With both mobile and stationary options, John Deere aims to provide its customers with the infrastructure they need to seamlessly integrate electric-powered equipment into their operations.
Powering Tomorrow: Investing in the Future of Off-Highway
At bauma, JDPS will showcase its commitment to innovation and its understanding that a single solution is not enough to address the challenges and opportunities ahead. JDPS recognizes that A New Era in Power is dawning, and it is developing a broad spectrum of solutions its global customer base will need in this next phase of power generation. From investing in advancements in established diesel engine technologies to exploring new fuel solutions and electrification, JDPS is working with customers to define what power will look like in the future.
JDPS understands that different markets have different power needs, and its approach reflects this understanding. JDPS experts will be in the booth to discuss the regional nuances of power and fuel sources, highlighting how John Deere is monitoring the most promising renewable fuels and assessing geographic considerations in addition to customer power needs. By carefully analyzing regional application differences and how they impact the adoption of various renewable fuels and hybrid- and battery-electric solutions, JDPS is tailoring its offerings to better serve its customers all around the world.
At bauma 2025, attendees can visit the JDPS booth (Hall A4 — 325) to learn more about this diverse portfolio of solutions and how JDPS is helping to usher in A New Era in Power.
