"Out of all the places that I have worked, John Deere Horicon Works has been the best. Every day I look forward to coming in to work. When I started my career, I was fresh out of High School, with very limited welding experience. This company has allowed me not only to become a fantastic welder but to continue building my career. I never thought that I would have the opportunity to be teaching the same class that I took seven years ago. Visiting High Schools and talking to the youth about skilled trades has been the highlight of my career, I truly enjoy it. John Deere has created an environment for self-improvement. If you have the motivation you can build and advance your career here at John Deere Horicon Works."
Caleb Mamerow, Weld Facilitator
"I love John Deere because it is a 181-year-old company that was built on five core competencies and continues to support them: integrity, quality, humanity, commitment, and innovation. Safety and Teamwork is part of the John Deere Horicon Works DNA, which means that those things are not just talked about, but they WALK the TALK. I love that they care about their employee’s safety and want them to return home in the same condition as when they came to work. They are OSHA compliant. AND John Deere Horicon Works encourages a positive work environment based on relationship building. I love my job!"
Becky Brath, Training and Employee Development Specialist
"Twenty years ago I started my career at John Deere Horicon Works. What amazed me then and does still to this day is the process of the building of a tractor or Gator. You start with an engine and empty frame and at the end of the line watch it drive off to be shipped to a customer. I take a lot of pride when I see John Deere equipment being used all over the world. I like to watch a commercial or see a Gator used in a sporting event knowing that the Gator was built in Horicon. As a single mom I was able to raise my two children while working here with the great benefits we have. I have gained many lifetime friends. I am a 3rd generation employee with many other family members past and present making John Deere their lifetime career. If you want the security of knowing you’ll have a place to retire John Deere Horicon Works is the place to be."
